As President & CEO of iEmpower LLC, Alrick Douglas is passionate about impacting this generation with wisdom, strength, and healing so individuals can find the courage to lead whole lives and experience permanent change. He has been mentoring and working with teens for over 18 years. In his current capacity as a School Counselor, he works extensively with students and their families to support social and emotional development. Cultural competence is at the center of why students experience change when they engage his services. Alrick’s unique ability to connect with any audience regardless of culture is what makes his work so transforming and impactful in today's world.
He currently holds a Masters Degree in Counseling (Summa Cum Laude) and Bachelors of Arts in Language and Communication (Hons.). These academic journeys have prepared him extensively for leading today’s youth and their families; fostering personal growth and development . Alrick has 5 years of experience as an in-home therapist, working with children diagnosed with autism and their families. This experience allowed him to see how a diagnosis can shift the core of a family structure and is not prejudice or take into consideration ones social status.
Alrick is Married to his high school girlfriend Candice for 17 years and they both share 2 beautiful daughters Aryana and Maigan. Fatherhood taught him the importance of parent child connection and the reward of being present with their needs and changes as they develop. He understands first hand the struggles of balancing the demands of family, career and business. As the voice behind iEmpower, Alrick envisions a world where people can comfortably identify with their social and emotional challenges and make meaningful change.
